Yes, I heard this rumor for years, and didn’t really pay much attention to it, until I happened to watch an obscure movie about just exactly that! Astronauts get kid-napped (sort of) from their ship before it blasts off, and they are flown to a location, where they are required to be actors before a film crew and act out landing on the moon for the Hollywood people.

It got me thinking: Since FACT is FAR stranger than FICTION, where did Hellywood get the IDEA for this film???
That got me searching and sure enough I found websites where they point out all kinds “errors”. Like the American Flag WAIVING in the air on the Moon. Only problem is, the Moon has no atmosphere, and thus NO WIND! So how could the U.S. Flag be flapping in the wind???
And no stars in the sky.
Also what always bothered me when I saw what was supposed to be a LIVE shot from the Moon in July 1969, WHO was filming the astronaut when he placed the First Step on the Moon??? You can see from the videos, someone is standing at a distance from the astronaut showing the space craft and the stairs he climbed down, as his foot hit virgin soil. So the camera could NOT have been ON the space craft. So who took that shot? Who took the shots where you see both astronauts jumping around??? Who is the 3rd man seen in the reflection of Neil Armstrong’s helmet visor???? Only 2 astronauts were said to be on the moon, the 3rd astronaut was circling the moon in the module.

The story goes like this: America was in a “Space Race” with the USSR. JFK vowed we would put a Man on the Moon before this decade was out, the 1960’s. Along comes the July 1969 planned moon landing. A month or two before launch a serious fatal flaw was discovered in the space craft that could NOT be fixed in time. So rather than admit failure in the Space Race, NASA approached the Director, Stanley Kubrick, who made the film, “2001 A Space Odessey”, and asked him to direct a fake film of a Moon Landing. He agreed to do it, but it always bothered him that he was deceiving the American People, so in later films, he kept leaving cryptic clues about THE TRUTH. After he died, supposedly his wife made a confession before she died. But I was never able to find it.
OK, so here is WikiLeaks, from the latest dump from them. Look for yourself! You can clearly hear the Director saying “Ready? and ACTION!”
Now what NASA/Military training exercise would EVER begin with those words??? They wouldn’t.
Also you can see the camera man catching and enlarging 2 helicopters flying by in Nevada, that obviously was cut from the final film shown to the American People. But the camera was collecting Evidence for posterity sake that the first moon landing was faked.

OK, I’ll say this now, I’ve heard rumors that Stanley Kubrick was bumped off, because he was getting too loose lipped about this. Here he is confessing to it on film.
This confession was 30 years after the fact. The moon landing he faked was in 1969. 1969 + 30 = 1999

So it is true. Too much of a coincidence that after 30 years, he confesses to this, one of his BEST FILMS which he could never put his name on!…..and then boom only days after that confession he turns up dead! That would have been a National Security Secret that he violated. Lets see who was President then in 1999? Bill Clinton.
I think he wanted the rest of the Film Industry (his peers) to know of his fine accomplishment. Must have been hard to do such a great job that everyone in the World believed it……..and he couldn’t put his name on it!!! Very Difficult for Directors.
I think he insinuated he was only asked to fake the July 1969 Apollo 11 Moon Landing. The reason I think that, is because he referring to “it”, not “them”. If Kubrick did all the moon landings, they would have been separate projects, and he would have said “them” and “they”. But he doesn’t it, he just refers to “it”, which is singular.
Because he did this fraud, Kubrick negotiated and was given carte blanche in Hellywood.
At the end they talk briefly about the film: “Wag the Dog”, which has a very similar plot line, but at the end, the Hollywood Director wanted credit for his masterpiece, and was going to blab about the fraud, so the Gov’t bumps off the Director to keep him quiet.
So in this case it predicts Stanley Kubrick’s own demise.
The director of “Wag the Dog” was Barry Levinson. Kubrick confesses that he told Barry Levinson about this big Fraud. So obviously, this big moon landing fraud, was the actual inspiration for “Wag the Dog”.
