No wonder the evil, statist moron Woodrow Wilson celebrated in one of his books the fact that the “Civil War” resulted in the “supreme” court becoming the sole arbiter of constitutionality in America. No longer would the citizens themselves, organized politically at the state and local levels, have any say whatsoever, even indirectly. From 1865 on, Wilson chortled, everyone’s liberties would be in the hands of five government lawyers with lifetime tenure that isolated them from any negative repercussions from destroying constitutional liberty in America. And that of course is exactly what they have done over the generations.
In one of his speeches Judge Napolitano asked, “Whatever Happened to the Constitution?” Well, there you have it: It was put into the hands of the “supreme” court as its sole interpreters by the Lincoln Republicans.
