King Charles today unveiled the first completed official portrait of himself since the Coronation at Buckingham Palace. At first glance, many people seemed aghast, with some wondering quietly if it is Satanic or just sick.
Here is the official portrait:
The painting, by the “artist” Jonathan Yeo, was commissioned in 2020 to celebrate the then-Prince of Wales’s 50 years as a member of The Drapers’ Company.
It depicts His Majesty wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards, of which he was made Regimental Colonel in 1975.
What catches everyone’s attention is that i the portrait, Charles seems to be enveloped in flames! Within the flames seem to be hollowed-out images of souls. Does the portrait depict Charles in Hell, perhaps?
Or is it representative of blood? Pools of blood, maybe?
This “portrait” will hang with the portraits of other Monarchs in Draper Hall.
