For those who detest this insane war in Ukraine, a few signs of sanity are starting to emerge giving us hope that we may see diplomacy replace rhetoric as the best way forward to end the killing.
I’ll leave it to the reader to sort through the articles below to see if they agree with yours truly, Mr. Doom and Gloom, that the material suggest that at least some leaders see the folly of our current course of action with a misguided foreign policy that has pushed the world way too close towards a global conflagration.
Mike Mullen calls on Biden to negotiate peace: https://bigleaguepolitics.com/former-joint-chiefs-of-staff-chairman-advises-biden-regime-to-negotiate-peace-between-russia-and-ukraine/
Tulsi Gabbard leaves Democratic Party because it supports unending wars:

Jeffrey Sachs calls for an end to the shelling of nuke plant: http://stateofthenation.co/?p=138411
A world-wide peace movement has quietly emerged. But it gets little attention from the MSM which is playing its role of cheerleader for endless wars in support of the entrenched DC establishment while ignoring the outpouring of dissent sweeping many countries including in Russia, which they, of course, cover as pro-war propaganda.
There’s more including some in Europe finally realizing that a winter of little heat and food is a bad plan but I’ll leave it at that for now.
I consider it regrettable that virtually the only leader of any substance in the world calling for peace is former US President Trump. Although he remains a powerful voice for millions of Americans, he also continues to evoke intense hatred and divisiveness across the country at a time when someone with less baggage and more ability to heal can emerge to soothe the intense anger percolating unrelentingly
within the body politic!
That’s why I am happy to see Gabbard finally leave the Democratic Party which is something I urged her to do over 5 years ago in favor of her promoting a third party devoted to peace and prosperity rather than the warmongering of the 2 mainstream ones. I also made a highly speculative prediction that she could be the nominee of the Republican Party for president in 2024.
Hopefully, it’s not too little, too late and that these signs of sanity can overcome the high comfort level that so many have for fighting that have led to the tragic developments in Ukraine.
