EPIC! Gov. DeSantis jabs Trump over the Covid jab

DeSantis Takes Shot at Trump Over COVID Vaccines

The governor teed off on the Trump administration’s “Operation Warp Speed.”

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — Governor Ron DeSantis jabbed former President Donald Trump over one of his most controversial stances: COVID vaccines.

DeSantis fired off a thinly veiled attack on the former president’s role in pushing the shot on hundreds of millions of Americans.

Speaking to a group of supporters at an event with the Florida Family Policy Council on Saturday evening, DeSantis bemoaned the vaccine mandates many companies placed on their employees and patrons.

“The way they weaponized these COVID vaxxes was a massive incursion into our freedoms,” DeSantis said. “They wanted to deny people the right to put food on their table if they didn’t bend the knee and get a COVID shot that they may not have wanted and that many of them did not need.”

The governor looked down at his notes as he delivered the next line.

“We can never allow ‘Warp Speed’ to trump informed consent in this country ever again.”

OPERATION WARP SPEED

Operation Warp Speed was purported to be the Trump administration’s effort to accelerate development of the vaccine – shortening it from the standard 5 to 12 years to a matter of months.

Many skeptics – including some subject matter experts – have questioned that narrative.

“Moderna got its first money from DARPA and BARDA in 2013. This is a U.S. government program. The vaccine companies are just marketing shields. The vaccines, by the way, are made by biodefense contractors. Moderna is made by Resilience, a biodefense contractor, and then Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca are made by Emergent Biosolutions outside of Baltimore. This is a U.S. military operation… and Americans are being hurt,” cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough said in an interview.

McCullough, along with pharmaceutical R&D and regulatory expert Sasha Latypova,  claimed in December that Operation Warp Speed was actually designed to harm Americans and other global populations.

Although Trump has never advocated for mandatory vaccinations, he has routinely championed the shots as life-saving treatments and encouraged Americans to get them.

He has disputed claims that they are not effective and even called the shots “one of the greatest achievements of mankind,” asserting that they have “saved tens of millions of lives.”
