Bibi vs. Biden and the 2024 Election!

Irrespective of what one thinks about any aspect of the current turmoil in the
Middle East, Bibi Netanyahu has succeeded in making the 2024 presidential
election all about Israel.

Yes, other important issues will emerge but how the crisis in Gaza and the
broader region is resolved will likely serve as the main focus of contention
among the candidates.

That has become even clearer now after Biden issued his quasi-ultimatum
ostensibly putting Bibi on notice that the unrestrained bombing must soon cease.

As the world expresses its disapproval in the form of the UN General Assembly vote
as well as other indications that Israel’s behavior constitutes collective punishment
unworthy of a civilized power, Biden has moved to respond with a meek admonition
that lacks both clarity and gravitas.

Bibi has long maneuvered to have the US support its key goal of eliminating the
regime in Iran and will do his best to insure that he can achieve that aim even with
Biden’s reprimand.

With Congress and the other key candidates including obviously Trump and RFK, Jr.
in support of the Netanyahu approach to Hamas, Biden’s sudden expression of concern for the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza thrusts him into the role of the peace candidate, a truly bizarre situation considering his warmongering in Ukraine and total support of Bibi up to now. http://stateofthenation.co/?p=199524

The incumbent’s latest pronouncement does little to undermine the impression that he lacks full possession of his faculties as he chastises Bibi while simultaneously providing the resources to the Israeli leader for him to enact his brutality on the essentially defenseless residents of that tiny strip.

This level of cognitive dissonance is augmented by his stunning admission that the US
was wrong to attack Afghanistan after 9/11.  “Don’t make the same mistakes we made at 9/11. There was no reason why we had to be in a war in Afghanistan at 9/11.” Will wonders never cease?

Of course, Joe is playing to his left flank that is full of peace-niks and those who identify closely with the Palestinian cause. But this is truly a startling development! nonetheless!

There is so much more to say but as the year closes out and November of 2024 fast
approaches, it will be all Israel all the time as the fate of God’s “Chosen Ones” will likely have a dramatic impact on the destiny of America and the world as well.
