Mathematician and expert witness at the recent election integrity hearings Bobby Piton has been permanently suspended from Twitter.

Bobby Piton, a mathematician who has been investigating the results of the presidential election, spoke at the election integrity hearing in Phoenix, Arizona on Monday. Piton joined Trump campaign lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis at the hearing hosted by Arizona state legislators.

Arizona certified the results of the election during the course of the hearing, which Giuliani quizzed Piton on, asking him what his opinion was on “the validity of the numbers that were certified today by the Secretary of State and the Governor” of Arizona.

Piton replied that he would “never ever” have certified the results, and would “rather resign” than have done so:

If I was an executive at a publicly traded company, I would never sign that, because I risk jail time and having all my money taken from me in lawsuits… I believe [the numbers] are fraudulent based on the data… I’d be willing to put my life on it, I’m that sure. Assuming that the data that I got from the state and everything else was accurate. So if you’re giving me all inaccurate data from everywhere, then that’s my only caveat.

As the mathematician spoke at the hearing, his Twitter account @BobbyPiton was permanently banned from Twitter, in what appears to be another coincidental removal from the site relating to the election integrity hearings.

National File reported that Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano, who organised the first hearing in his home state, also had his personal account @DougMastriano removed from the site:

During the hearing, Senator Mastriano had slammed the election chaos, which he said was completely by design. “We move heaven and earth with American dollars to secure elections in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere. We can’t do it in our own state?” Mastriano said. “There’s people in Pennsylvania not interested in safe, secure elections.”

Twitter later restored the Senator’s account, and blamed his removal on an “error.”

An account has appeared on Twitter that claims to be Piton, however an examination of the account reveals that it is likely an impersonator. At the time of writing, there is no verified new account of his on social media, although it seems likely that the account @BobbyPiton on Parler is run by him.
