Elizabeth Hart: I particularly focussed on the Murdoch media, News Corp Australia, which has a massive conflict of interest – it’s a corporate partner with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute which is involved in vaccine research, including COVID-19 vaccine research with the Doherty Institute. The modelling out of the Doherty Institute put Australia into lockdown last year, and Doherty modelling continues to restrict the free movement and association of Australians until a 70/80% vaccination target is reached. The Doherty modelling was influenced by the controversial Neil Ferguson et al modelling out of Imperial College London, which recommended ‘suppression’ (aka lockdown) “until a vaccine becomes available…” I also referred to former Federal Treasurer Peter Costello’s conflicts of interest re his chairing of Nine Entertainment and the Future Fund, which is heavily invested in vaccine manufacturers.
