A Florida man seen carrying House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s lectern during Wednesday’s Capitol riot has been arrested.

Adam Johnson, 36, was arrested in Pinellas County, Fla., Friday night at the request of the U.S. Department of Justice, per CNN.

Johnson was charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; one count of theft of government property; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a release.

A Getty Images photo that went viral during the violent insurrection at the Capitol showed Johnson carrying the speaker’s lectern during the riot. It is alleged he illegally removed the item from where it had been stored on the House side of the building.

The FBI searched for Johnson as part of a nationwide effort to find and charge those who stormed the building, according to the Bradenton Herald.

Demonstrators protesting the presidential election results stormed the Capitol during a joint session of Congress that met to certify the Electoral College votes.

Johnson reportedly was not among the 13 suspects identified by DOJ on Friday as having already been charged in federal court for their alleged roles in the riot.

The Bradenton Herald reported Johnson was a stay-at-home dad who lives with his wife and five children. His prior criminal history includes possession of marijuana and violation of probation charges.
